Marcozyme is a proteolytic enzyme used for inflammation and inflammatory exudative diseases. It reduces inflammation and stops pain. Wounds heal more quickly with little or no scar formation and the overall duration of the inflammatory process is considerably reduced.

In cases of vascular disease, a rapid decrease of the edema and concomitant rapid improvement of the clinical symptoms are achieved. It has been found that enzymes will also chelate plaque from the artery walls, thereby decreasing vascular disease.

It is reported that the use of enzyme therapy is most successful in injuries such as contusions and strains as seen in sports injuries. An immediate decrease in pain and a surprisingly rapid reduction of edema can be observed due to the anti-inflammatory properties of enzymes. The absorption of the effusion is accelerated and disfiguring discoloration of the skin is reduced to a minimum.
